Muddy’s Bake Shop holds a very special place in my heart. Muddy’s is the type of place you go into when you are having a really terrible day. One look at the place and you cannot be in a bad mood. It’s like walking into a big ball of sunshine. Then, when you take a bite of a cupcake, your life is instantly the greatest in all the land.
I have tried an assortment of Muddy’s cupcakes, the Grasshopper and Strawberry Lemonade being two of my favorites. There is always something new and exciting to try. This particular time I tried the Chocolate Chimp (dark chocolate cake, banana icing) and Hubba Hubba (lemon cake, lemon-coconut filling, lemon icing, coconut topping). The trouble with Muddy’s is that I can never order just one cupcake. I usually end up with at least two, sometimes a half dozen to take home. Katherine had a piece of the Strawberry Lemonade cake.
These were not to disappoint! The fruitier ones always put me in the best mood, as they always taste light and refreshing. They are all, however, rich and decadent, a little piece of heaven.
Muddy’s has many other delectable goodies to choose from as well, if a cupcake doesn’t tickle your fancy. They cater to the vegan community too.
Not to mention, all of the staff always has a giant smile on their faces are always willing to strike up a conversation. They make you feel very welcome.
I am at Muddy’s way more than my personal trainer would appreciate, but I just can’t help it. It’s happiness in a strip mall.
