The Cooking Channel will be coming to Memphis soon, with a new show that “follows NY Chef-Owner Eddie Huang as he travels the country seeking our the best cheap eats, hidden gems and hole in the walls” (C. Kruzick, personal conversation).  We were one of their first chosen cities to feature on the show, which will formatted similar to No Reservations.

They have already contacted me to give them some ideas of local dives, hole-in-the-walls, and hidden gems.

I do not know exactly when they are coming yet, but they are going to let me know when the time gets closer. If you have any recommendations you want me to pass along, please comment below and let me know! I’d be happy to speak up for you, as I know I cannot give them everything.

Hueys of course :). Mollys la casita, spindini, bogies

Do you know what type of food they are looking to feature?

  3. Kate Says:

Dino’s Grill on McLean, especially if they have that pink cake (but whatever they have, it’s worth going in just to see the War Room).
    Balewa’s Vegan/Sean’s Cafe on Union.
Eclectic Cafe if the knitters are there.
    Wiles-Smith on Union. Milkshakes!
