Yes, everyone the holidays are upon us.  If you are anything like me, you have made lists of everything you want to do this season, all the cookies you want to bake for people, all the presents you need to buy, etc.
Well, here is a list of all the fun foodie-related events going on around town this season.  I hope this guide helps you fill your holiday cheery spirit.
Also, I want to keep this a running list, so if you know of anything else going on around town that can be added, please let me know.  You can comment below, or let me know via Twitter or Facebook.

  1. Southern Living Holiday Cookbook ($10.00): This holiday season, Memphians can head to their local Dillard’s store to purchase the 2011 Southern Living Holiday Cookbook. The proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will go to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.
    1. Dillard’s began supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities in 1994 and has since raised more than $7.6 million for the organization.
    2. For the fourth time, Dillard’s is offering a special custom edition of the Southern Living Christmas Cookbook to benefit RMHC.
    3.  This exclusive, 288-page hardbound cookbook is filled with fabulous holiday recipes, color photos, menus, decorating tips and entertaining ideas.
  2. Thanksgiving Day Brunch

  3. Kooky Canuck Celebrations
    1. Turkey Day Tip-Off: Wednesday Nov. 23rd, 99 cent Bud Light drafts.
    2. Christmas Bash: Thursday December 15th, starting at 8:00pm
    3. New Year’s Eve Party: all day Saturday, December 31st.
  4. Breakfast with Santa
    1. Memphis Botanical Garden: Rock Around The Christmas Tree at Breakfast with Santa!

  6. Deliver food to those in need on Christmas: From 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Christmas Day, MIFA will deliver meals and gifts to homebound senior citizens.
  7. Christmas Day Meals
    1. Lunch at Paulette’s – 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    2. Dinner at Capriccio Grill
      1.  Cost is $45 per person and $15 for children ages 5-12, plus tax and gratuity.
    3. Brunch at The Peabody
      1. A traditional Thanksgiving feast will be served in addition to regular Peabody Brunch favorites.
      2. Cost is $55 per person, $20 for children ages 5-12, plus tax and gratuity.
  8. New Year’s Dining
    1. New Year’s Eve Dinner at Chez Phillipe:
      1. The Peabody’s signature restaurant is offering a five-course meal for $125 per person.
      2. The price of dinner includes wristband admission to The Scene New Year’s Eve Party.

    The Southern Living Cookbooks are WONDERFUL and support such a fantastic cause! I got 4 for all of the women in my family for Christmas. Great stocking stuffers too!
